Barcode Scanning Stock Management

Eigo created a barcode scanning application as part of a larger project to deliver an off-site consigned stock management system.

Features of the mobile application include.

• Barcode scanning and validation
• Connection to main database and application logic layer via webservice
• User logon
• Warehouse and department look-up
• Stock in and out

Eigo developed the entire system, some features of which are listed below.

• Mobile application for scanning product in and out of the on-site warehouses.
• Webservice as communication layer for barcode printers and scanners.
• Application Logic Layer to enforce business rules and provide common components for webservice and websites.
• External consumer websites.
• Internal stock management and dispatch website.
• Database of all system, user and stock information.
• Interface to existing database of product type information.
